It’s very important to be punctual on the day of your appointment. Ballooning depends on the weather: the best conditions are found early in the morning, at sunrise, or late in the evening, two hours before sunset. So that we can make the most of these slots, we thank you for your punctuality. As a general rule, we meet our passengers 1h15 before takeoff for evening flights and 45 minutes before takeoff for morning flights.

Join us by train!

In line with our commitment, we encourage all our passengers to join us by train. We can pick you up at the Cossonay-Penthalaz train station and drop you off there after the flight (or any other suitable station close to the landing field). Don’t hesitate to mention this when you make your reservation so that our teams can arrange it!

Weather

Ballooning is largely dependent on weather conditions. We only fly when conditions are favourable: calm winds, no precipitation and no atmospheric instability. Flights take place early in the morning or at the end of the day, shortly before sunset. It’s at these times that we have the optimal conditions for this activity.
In the event of bad weather, your pilot will cancel the flight. You can then reschedule your flight according to your availability.

Security

Our qualified pilots and crews share their talent and experience with you! They do their utmost to ensure that our passengers have a pleasant and memorable time with us.
We provide ongoing training for our pilots. Our balloons meet the strictest safety and control standards.

Meeting point

Our meeting place will be determined according to weather conditions, flight types and chosen regions. Our flight regions

Documents

During our flights, we may cross the Swiss border. You must therefore carry a valid identity card or passport for the Schengen area.

Passenger dress code

For your comfort, we recommend clothes similar to those you would wear on a hike. Heelless, flat shoes are essential. We also invite you to wear pants and long sleeves.
It doesn’t necessarily get much colder at higher altitudes; we generally lose 2°C per 1000 feet (+/-300m). Nevertheless, an extra sweater or warmer clothing may be welcome, especially for early morning flights or after landing for late-day flights.

Yes No

Warm clothing

Don’t hesitate to bring along a sweater or jacket that you can take off or put on depending on the conditions.

Pants and long sleeves

Please wear long clothing to avoid being eaten by thirsty mosquitoes and annoyed by curious insects.

Shoes

We recommend closed-toe shoes with a slight rise.

Hat

If you’re sensitive to heat, don’t forget to bring a head covering.

Heels and/or open shoes

Avoid heels and/or open shoes, as they won’t protect your ankles and feet when landing on steep or wet terrain.

Uncomfortable skirts or clothing

It’s important to wear comfortable clothes that will enable you to get in and out of the basket without complications.
